EMMET COUNTY ORV ORDINANCE

ORV's will be allowed on some roads in Emmet County. Please note our trail network relies on 21 private landowners to have a connected snowmobile trail system. These owners only permit snowmobile traffic and are insured for the snowmobile season through our club. There are also many state trail sections that are are not seasonal county roads and are not signed open for wheeled traffic.
ORV road travel is prohibited in some townships.
ORV travel is prohibited unless road is posted open.

THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING OUR TRAILS THE SMOOTHEST IN THE STATE
TEAM HSSC
Please remember that all club members are VOLUNTEERS.
We volunteer because we like to ride and it's the only way to have groomed trails to ride on. You paid your trail permits and joined a club. As a team we will do our best to provide smooth trails.
When you have questions or comments, keep in mind that the volunteer you are talking to is not getting paid.
Suggestions and new ideas are welcomed.
Be ready to implement your ideas!

Trespassing is less likely with a trail system in place.

When you notice a gate on the trail it's important to know it's either private property or a club trail. These are key sections we cannot do without. Please stay on the trail and know those sections are only rideable by snowmobiles from December 1st to April 1st.
